Our Mission

I’m just a person trying to follow a calling (Proverbs 3:6-7), and through Hedge of Protection, I’ve found something special—something bigger than myself. This little veteran-owned company started from a place of humility, from my own stumbles and my need for grace, and likewise to forgive and show grace (Ephesians 4:32). Planting trees, shaping landscapes, staining fences—it’s more than work. It’s a quiet way to find peace, to care for myself and others, and to see healing take root. I’ve felt it, and I see it in our customers too, as their hopes for their homes and land come to life.

At heart, our mission is simple: to grow a company that honors God and serves as a shelter for our clients, our team, and our community. I dream of Hedge of Protection being a place where veterans like me can find purpose, where the work of tending the earth brings us closer together. I want to offer jobs to those who need them—veterans, families, and anyone looking to thrive in this country we’re so grateful to call home. It’s about more than work; it’s about showing kindness, staying faithful, and building a community that reflects God’s love.

I’m not perfect—far from it. I've messed up in my past, shoot, every day for that matter, but I’m thankful for Jesus, who covers my flaws and gives me strength to keep going (1 John 1:9). Through every project, I hope we share a glimpse of God’s beauty and love, not just with words but with what we do (1 John 3:18).

Hedge of Protection isn’t just a business to me—it’s a way to grow, to serve, and to honor God’s creation, and to assist with the expansion of His kingdom (Matthew 28:9-20).
